We have been advised that on Friday, January 20, 2012 the Florida Office of Financial Regulation closed Central Florida State Bank, Belleview, Florida, and appointed the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) as receiver. All deposits have been transferred to CenterState Bank of Florida, N.A., Winter Haven, Florida and will be available immediately.
The former Central Florida State Bank will reopen as branches of CenterState Bank of Florida, N.A. during regular business hours.
Your transferred deposits will be separately insured from any accounts you may already have CenterState Bank of Florida, N.A. for six months after the failure of Central Florida State Bank. Checks will be processed as usual and all outstanding checks will be paid against your available balance. If there is a problem with a merchant accepting your check, please contact your branch office and an account representative will clear up any confusion about the validity of your checks.
