The affidavit by each of the grantees is an acknowledgment of the access or limitations to the access. The ordinance contemplates the Clerk’s acceptance of the affidavit in a form approved by the County Attorney. Included in the ordinance are two form affidavits: 1) County Maintained Access; and 2) Unknown Access.
In order to limit the Highlands County Clerk’s objections to recording conveyances and delays in recording, please be mindful of this Highlands County Ordinance and the need to obtain and record, with the deed, the appropriate affidavit.
