We would also like to take this opportunity to recognize REC member attorneys who have been appointed to the Florida Realtor®-Attorney Joint Committee. The Florida Realtor®-Attorney Joint Committee was formed in the early 1970's by the Joint Accord entered into between The Florida Bar and the Florida Association of Realtors®, to fulfill several purposes:

Late last year The Fund took another step in its support of Florida ARECS by launching an advertising campaign in the Florida Realtors’ Legal News, a bi-weekly email newsletter that reaches over 105,000 Florida Realtor® members. 

Florida ARECS continues to work with Florida Realtors^® to build awareness of the RECs and the value their attorney members bring to real estate transactions. So we are pleased to offer two new opportunities for REC member attorneys to promote themselves and their RECs.

We spend a considerable amount of time and effort in developing tools for REC Members to use in reaching out to Realtors®, however, we have not forgotten about the Consumer.  Today’s digital world offers you a wide variety of opportunities to communicate with Buyers and Sellers directly.  Here are a few of our most popular options that you can use to market your practice in person, using your website, an email drip campaign, print media and/or social media.

One of the most effective ways to promote our message of the value of involving a real estate attorney in a real estate transaction is through social media because that’s where everyone is. There are over 2 billion active Facebook users in the world and approximately half of them log in EVERY day.

The Attorneys’ Real Estate Council of Miami-Dade and North Dade & Beaches REC held their annual joint meeting featuring Manny Farach’s Business & Real Estate Case Law Update. 

The Central Florida Real Estate Attorneys’ Council (CFREAC) held a joint meeting with the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar (RPPTL) on December 7th.  The event, which was co-sponsored by the Orange County Bar Association’s Estate, Guardianship & Trust Committee, featured a Trivia Contest for Members to match wits on “Dirt and Death” topics.  CFREAC and RPPTL also collected toys for Toys for Tots and raised money for United Against Poverty.

The Central Florida Real Estate Attorneys’ Council (CFREAC) held their Annual Meeting on September 14^th at Historic Dubsdread Golf Club in Orlando.  The meeting featured Market, Industry & Underwriting Updates from Ernie Houck, Fund Executive Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Analysis and Melissa Scaletta, Fund Vice President, Associate General Counsel & Chief Underwriting Counsel.  The meeting was held as a hybrid event, providing CFREAC members the option to attend in-person or online.

On July 8^th the Central Florida Real Estate Attorneys’ Council (CFREAC) welcomed Florida Realtors® Legislative Counsel Trey Goldman and H. French Brown, IV, from Dean Mead's Tallahassee office to share their considerable insights into the 2021 Florida Legislative Session.
