On August 8^th the Florida ARECS Board of Directors elected Patricia Nugent President.

Local RECs from across the state held elections and announced their 2018 leadership teams.

Florida real estate agents are subject to one of two continuing education deadlines based on their license renewal dates – March 31 or September 30 so late summer is a busy time for our real estate councils who provide Realtor® education accredited by the Florida Real Estate Commission.

On March 6^th, we held one of our biggest events ever!  Florida ARECS’ Inaugural Legal Summit for the Miami Association of Realtors® was held at the iconic Hard Rock in Hollywood.

Summer brings outdoor grilling, hot days and lots of rainy afternoons, but it also brings a second wave of Annual Meetings and Elections. Here are some of the Real Estate Council leadership changes taking place around the state.

Becoming a leader of a Real Estate Council can be filled with challenges but there is a way to make it a lot easier.  Get your copy of the Florida ARECS Leadership Guide!  This handy reference outlines important topics like governance, taxes and leadership structure.  It offers samples of documents including By-laws, Membership Drive Letter, and a New Member Welcome Letter.  The Leadership Guide provides suggestions for programming and can connect you to other REC leaders from across the state so you can reach out to others who know what it’s like to lead a REC.
