New RECs under construction! Florida Keys REC held its first event in sometime on October 20th in Marathon. The Real Property Council of Volusia County continues to move forward.

The Attorneys’ Real Estate Council of Miami-Dade County (aka South Miami-Dade) recently welcomed new President Ivette Rodriguez of Coral Gables.

The Florida ARECS Board of Directors met on February 24th in Orlando and reviewed our strategic objectives and how the organization can best serve REC members going forward. Since its inception in 2014, Florida ARECS has focused on these strategic priorities:

On May 11th The Florida ARECS Board of Directors hosted its annual REC Leadership Forum preceding the start of Fund Assembly in Orlando.

On May 21st, drones ruled the skies over the rooftop terrace at the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors®

The Attorneys’ Real Estate Council of Miami-Dade County and the North Dade & Beaches Real Estate Council got the year off to a strong start with their annual joint meeting on January 23^rd.  The annual event gives attorneys from across one of our largest counties the opportunity to network.  Manuel Farach, Esq., with McGlinchey Stafford in Fort Lauderdale presented his Real Property Case Law Update and Impact on Your Practice.

On December 5th the Jacksonville Area Real Estate Council kicked off the holiday season at the River Front Café overlooking the St. Johns River with Katie Mitura, Vice President, Marketing & Communications, Visit Jacksonville. Mitura presented a lively overview of the efforts to expand convention, business and tourism opportunities across the area.

On August 8^th the Florida ARECS Board of Directors elected Patricia Nugent President.

Local RECs from across the state held elections and announced their 2018 leadership teams.

Florida real estate agents are subject to one of two continuing education deadlines based on their license renewal dates – March 31 or September 30 so late summer is a busy time for our real estate councils who provide Realtor® education accredited by the Florida Real Estate Commission.
