Audits, Assembly & Affiliate Day
Dear Members,
Today's message covers a range of stuff. Please pay particular attention to the message about our Member audit process. It's important.
Member Audits. We are required to audit all Fund Members on a regular schedule. We cannot conduct all audits on-site and in person but regardless of the form of audit we select for you, it is extremely important that you cooperate and do so in a timely way. We have experienced a lot of rescheduled and cancelled audits in the last year or so. I might go so far to say we are experiencing too much non-cooperation from too many Members. So do not be surprised if you receive letters and emails from us "pushing back" on rescheduling and delays. And don't be surprised if you get a letter from us setting a deadline by which you must comply, which will be followed by a notice suspending your account until you comply. It really is that important that you set aside the time to provide the information requested by the auditor. We sincerely appreciate you and your support of The Fund but audits are necessary and are so much easier if both sides work together. Affiliate Days Coming. To help meet the needs of our busy paralegals, closers and licensed title agents, we’re hosting Affiliate Days throughout the state this year. Each half-day event features 3 hours of continuing legal education at a great price and opportunities to engage with speakers, local Fund staff including underwriting attorneys and branch managers, and vendors. The first one, Affiliate Day – Destin, takes place Feb. 22 at the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort, Miramar Beach. Register by Feb. 17.
