Ch. 13 – Title Objections & the Commercial Title Commitment

Description

Objections to title can come from various parties, each with its own specific concerns. Commercial contracts delineate the parameters and timing of the title commitment, title objections and responses to title objections, so careful drafting and review of title matters is critical. This session is designed to help members understand commercial title commitments, the mechanics of title objections and responses thereto using a sample transaction. While it is important to know what title insurance coverage is available in Florida, it is equally important to know what is not, especially in the context of title objections. Learning a variety of ways to address common title objections and developing a comfort level with the process is the objective of this course.
