TRID and Beyond!

Adjustments are being made to aspects of our TRID support.
Dear Members,
The last year was a busy one for all of us! TRID changed the rules of the game when it finally went into effect on October 3, 2015. Over a year ago, The Fund took on the challenge, based on the Mission, to provide Fund Members with the tools they needed to close TRID transactions. We designed a number of ways to educate, train and support you.
I can say with confidence that because of your effort, the vast majority of our Fund Members are handling TRID closings competently and efficiently. There are still a lot of challenges associated with the process but the problems you are experiencing are the same problems and challenges as closing agents and attorneys across the country. Thank you!
We devoted significant resources to this effort. It's a new year and in order to provide support to Fund Members in all aspects of their practice, we are adjusting some aspects of our TRID support. All of our resources will still be available to you but there are a few changes.
We will continue to support the CFPB Hotline (email version) so please continue to send your questions there (cfpbfaq@thefund.com). The CFPB Hotline phone line will be discontinued and you will be re-directed to the email resource. The Help Desk staffing will go back to pre-TRID numbers but will be more than adequately prepared to respond to your questions. My weekly emails will not focus on TRID as much as before, but if important issues arise I will, of course, be communicating that information to you!
We will continue to maintain a robust library of FAQs and videos on the Closing Disclosure and DoubleTime. Those are available to you anytime! Here is the link thefund.com/ondemand
And please get in the habit of visiting our Information Center page, which will continue to include important information for you on a wide range of topics (not just TRID). You can visit the Information Center at thefund.com/infocenter
These changes will be implemented on March 1. We firmly believe that you will not be adversely impacted and will continue to receive support for all your TRID-related and other day-to-day needs from The Fund's staff of real estate and title experts.
On a separate note, remember that tickets for Fund Assembly can be purchased at a discounted price through February 29th. You can register now so don't miss out on this great educational opportunity!
As always, thank you for your support of The Fund.
Best Regards,
Melissa Jay Murphy
