Exciting News about Wire Fraud Protection

Hello Members!

A quick blog posting before I am off for a week or so, but I have such great news to share that I didn't want to wait until I returned to my desk.

We all know how frightening it is to come to work every day and worry about wire fraud. One little slip and one clever criminal can mean a loss of hundreds of thousands of dollars to your clients….and to your company. Most of the wire frauds we learn about come down to PEOPLE.  And while your people are the most important asset of your business and you rely on them to verify, verify, and verify again, wouldn't it be nice to have someone else take on the responsibility for verifying the wire information? There are several companies that offer this service, but they can't provide a 100% guarantee, so most Members have been reluctant to take on the added expense.

Good news! Old Republic has entered into an agreement with CertifID, an extremely reputable company that helps title agents combat wire fraud by providing verification of mortgage payoff wire information. This program will be offered to Old Republic agents (that includes you!) at a reduced onboarding rate….and best of all, ORT will take care of the per-transaction verification fee! You may see or hear about a press release being sent out by CertifID announcing the partnership, so we wanted you to be aware of this program before you get the detailed information from us.

We will be launching this in a big way at Fund Assembly, where there will be opportunities to talk one-on-one with CertifID folks to learn more.
