Barbara Lockhart , Senior Auditor, The Fund
Ms. Lockhart began her career as a Legal Secretary in Port Charlotte in 1988 working for a small firm that specialized in a variety of legal fields. The firm joined The Fund in 1990 and handling real estate closings became a major part of Barbara’s paralegal practice. In 1992 when the firm dissolved; Barbara assisted one of the attorneys with opening a solo practice and later a title company who remains a high-volume producer with The Fund to this day. In 2014 Barbara left the private sector and moved on to the Charlotte County Attorney’s Office and thereafter to the City Attorney’s office for the City of North Port where she brought The Fund’s ATIDS software in to assist with real estate acquisitions. Barbara received her Associate’s in Science degree as a Paralegal from Manatee Community College in Venice. After many years working for attorneys, Barbara sought out The Fund as a natural transition to apply her years of paralegal, bookkeeping and real estate closing experience. She began working for The Fund as an Auditor in 2018 and became a Senior Auditor in 2021.
