Lender’s closing package is one of the most important set of documents essential to closing real estate transactions involving financing by an institutional lender. The closing instructions will require extremely focused time and review. The title agent should require the lender’s specific closing instructions at least two hours before closing to permit time for examination and review of the instructions and loan documents, allow for questions or corrections, review by borrower and/or borrowers’ counsel, and preparation and approval of the settlement statement.
