Description: This three-hour, intermediate-level course will examine the FR/Bar residential purchase and sale contract in depth. The course begins with an examination of the FR/Bar structure, discussing each main paragraph as to its relevance, application and key issues. The course continues with a discussion of dispute resolution, an examination of the definitional “Standards” built into the FR/Bar and key “riders” or addenda. Special attention is paid to recent changes relating to FinCEN’s residential real estate rule and to the PACE Rider. Finally, the course will recap key takeaways and explore common practical concerns for real estate practitioners.
