September and October were, shall we say, “yuge!” for Real Estate Council Realtor® events. The Florida ARECS Board of Directors would like to congratulate the following RECs for their outstanding accomplishments in promoting positive Attorney/Realtor® Relations.

On August 25^th and 26^th, Florida ARECS hosted a booth at the 2016 Florida Realtors® Convention and Trade Show. The Florida ARECS Board of Directors has worked tirelessly to establish a relationship with Florida Realtors® and our participation in their convention was an extension of that effort. Fourteen volunteers representing Florida ARECS and seven local RECS descended on Orlando to share our message with the more than 3,000 real estate agents attending this year’s event.

Florida ARECS was created to support and promote real estate attorneys and our board is committed to delivering tangible solutions for our Strategic Priorities:

First, we welcomed a brand new REC to our coalition.

The Historic Coast Real Estate Council will serve real estate attorneys located in St. Johns and Flagler counties.

The Attorneys’ Real Estate Councils of Florida Board of Directors held their Annual Meeting in May and elected the following Officers and Directors:

I hope this issue finds you and your family well.  The past year has presented countless challenges to us all personally and professionally.  There used to be distinct boundaries between “personal” and “professional” but with remote work and remote learning for children, we are all adapting to this new hybrid environment, and the Real Estate Councils are no different.

The Florida ARECS Board of Directors met on November 19, 2020 and here a few key highlights from that meeting.

Earlier this year, Florida ARECS Board Member Erin Prete of Orlando recommended to the Board the creation of a new Council of Presidents.  The goal of the new Council is to bring together the Presidents of the local RECs and provide them an opportunity to get to know each other and share their knowledge, experience and ideas.  The idea was enthusiastically supported by the Board and even more welcomed by the local REC Presidents!   

Florida ARECS hosted a special reception in Orlando on March 18th, which coincided with The Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section (RPPTL) meeting.

This premier REC event attracts over 200 Realtors® for a full day of quality education provided by members of the Central Florida Real Estate Attorneys’ Council and others.
