You should read them – for both the technical comments (if you close loans for either of them) and for an appreciation of the details addressed. Fund Assembly Recap and the Challenges that Lie Ahead
The 52nd Assembly held last week was really something! There was so much energy between the presentations, the Expo and the networking. It was a wonderful experience to see old friends and make new ones. I look forward to reviewing the feedback from those that attended on what they liked, didn't like and their suggestions for improvement. We may never satisfy everyone, but we will always try to improve!

Legislature Addressing a Wide Range of Issues
What should the retiree contribution rate be for a public employee? Will Florida pass the “Competitive Workforce Act” and join numerous other states? Should arrest booking photographs be restricted from dissemination on a public media website? Is it necessary to carry a concealed weapon on a college campus in Florida? Will we permit “open carry,” similar to Texas? What should the signage requirements be at a toll facility? Should appellate judges be subject to term limits? Will Florida expand gambling, reauthorize the Seminole Compact or fail to act on those issues?
