Political Committee, Photo IDs & Hernando County Problems
Hello Members! Hope all is well. I just got back from an Old Republic Title manager's meeting and learned a lot about what ORT is doing to support its agents and its employees. Good stuff. Will share some of what I learned over the next several blogs so stay tuned. A couple of things to talk about this week.

Luck, Legal Ed & A Big Loss
Hello Members! I have survived the first weekend of March Madness with my soul intact, even though my Gators lost. They fought valiantly, but you can't compete with luck (which is the life force to which I attribute Colorado's winning shot.) I did, however, come away with several thoughts.

Assembly Registration, Foreign Interests Ruling & New CLE Requirements
Dear Members, I hope everyone is well. Market is picking up ever so slightly… interest rates are down a little bit… maybe things are looking up! I am focused on what is going on in the legislative session and regret that I have not been paying as much attention to things that you might really want to know about! So my apologies and hope you find this information worthwhile.

ALTA Survey, Gov't Shutdown & Expanded FinCEN GTO
Hello Fund Members! I just got back from the Florida Land Title Association Convention and listened to several very good presentations on different aspects of our industry. The one that made the biggest impression on me was, of course, about the ever-evolving face of cyber fraud presented by Tom Cronkright of CertifID. The fraudsters are definitely leveraging technology to find new ways to fool you (and others). Help the industry out by completing the ALTA cyber crime survey. You do not need to be a member of ALTA to complete the survey and your experiences will help ALTA present a comprehensive picture of what is going on from our perspective. Here is a link to the study. Complete the study today
