Federal and state laws touch on every aspect of a real estate closing. How these laws and regulations impact transactions, from their inception, through the loan process, and concluding with certain reporting requirements at closing, are addressed in this session. In addition, the real estate practitioner needs to be aware of industry-wide standards and certain unique Florida customs that affect transactions. This session will examine such practices and standards and will also look at the various roles in a real estate closing (legal counsel, escrow agent, title agent) and the duties pertaining to each such role.
