Description

This program will discuss the process of reviewing powers of attorney documents for use in real property transactions, including determining whether the power of attorney meets The Fund’s guidelines for insuring. The program will also discuss when use of a power of attorney is appropriate and when it should be avoided. Examples of “good” and “bad” powers of attorney will be provided, along with practice tips and traps to avoid.

He is Board Certified in Real Estate by the Florida Bar.

Mr. Nostra was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1990 and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida in 1995. He joined Attorneys’ Title Fund Services, LLC in September 2014 as Underwriting Counsel. 

Mr. Nostra’s prior experience includes working as claims counsel for a national title insurance underwriter and in private law firms focusing his practice on title claims resolution, title curative measures and residential mortgage foreclosures representing lending institutions.  He also spent over nine years as Assistant Corporate Counsel for a national civil engineering firm. Mr. Nostra is a member of The Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section.
