New RECs under construction! Florida Keys REC held its first event in sometime on October 20th in Marathon. The Real Property Council of Volusia County continues to move forward.

The Attorneys’ Real Estate Council of Miami-Dade County (aka South Miami-Dade) recently welcomed new President Ivette Rodriguez of Coral Gables.

Florida real estate agents are subject to one of two continuing education deadlines based on their license renewal dates – March 31 or September 30 so late summer is a busy time for our real estate councils who provide Realtor® education accredited by the Florida Real Estate Commission.  

On September 22, the Attorneys’ Real Estate Council of Palm Beach County hosted their first in-person event in over two years.  Members gathered for a fun-spirited event offering members a chance to engage with each other at Rocco’s Tacos in Palm Beach Gardens.  The Fund’s Real Estate Council Relations Manager Rene’ Rutan and Fund Business Advisors Bonnie Heffernan, Susan Hosier and Betty White presented an overview of resources available to Market Your Firm in a Changing Real Estate Market.

North Dade & the Beaches Real Estate Council Sets the Standard in Community Service.

The Attorneys’ Real Estate Council of Miami-Dade County hosted their August Meeting at Town Kitchen & Bar, which featured a presentation entitled, Commercial Loans: Conforming, Non-Conforming & P.A.C.E. by Isi Riguero, Southeast Florida Manager of Commercial Real Estate Lending, Bank OZK.

The Attorneys’ Real Estate Council of Miami-Dade County and the North Dade & Beaches Real Estate Council got the year off to a strong start with their annual joint meeting on January 23^rd.  The annual event gives attorneys from across one of our largest counties the opportunity to network.  Manuel Farach, Esq., with McGlinchey Stafford in Fort Lauderdale presented his Real Property Case Law Update and Impact on Your Practice.

On January 18^th, the Southwest Florida Real Estate Council held it’s first event in Naples since the merger with the Naples Marco Area REC.  It was the first REC event in Naples in 9 years, and it was standing room only.  The event featured a presentation of Can You TRUST Your Homestead by Fund Senior Underwriting Counsel Ben Jepson.  The program addressed issues involved with holding title to homestead property in a trust.

Local RECs from across the state held elections and announced their 2018 leadership teams.

On December 5th the Jacksonville Area Real Estate Council kicked off the holiday season at the River Front Café overlooking the St. Johns River with Katie Mitura, Vice President, Marketing & Communications, Visit Jacksonville. Mitura presented a lively overview of the efforts to expand convention, business and tourism opportunities across the area.
