On January 28th, members of the Attorneys’ Real Estate Council of Miami-Dade County and the North Dade & Beaches Real Estate Council gathered for their annual joint REC meeting. The event offers a unique opportunity for real estate attorneys from across the county to get together. Their program featured Manuel Farach, Esq. of McGlinchey Stafford, who presented his Real Property Case Law Update & It’s Impact on Your Practice.
Members of the Broward Attorneys’ Real Estate Council (BAREC) volunteered at the South Florida Legal Mentoring Picnic organized by the Broward County Bar Association on Saturday, February 1st at C.B. Smith Park. The Picnic was sponsored by RPPTL and provided a great opportunity for networking, enjoying outdoor activities, inviting other attorneys to join both RPPTL and BAREC and promoting the amazing resources both organizations offer to our real estate practices.
As you might expect Remote Online Notarization has been THE hot topic as we entered 2020. The North Dade & Beaches REC got things started with a RON presentation on January 8th, followed by presentations for the Jacksonville Area Real Estate Council and Capital Region RECs in mid-February. If you missed those presentations, you can join the Volusia Real Property Council when they host this program in Daytona Beach on March 5th.
On February 6th the Bay Area Real Estate Council held its Annual Economic Outlook Luncheon featuring Gay Cororaton from the National Association of Realtors® in Washington, D.C. Cororaton presented an economic forecast for the U.S., Florida and the Tampa Bay area to nearly 100 attendees.
The Southwest Florida REC hosted Dave Gammon, Director, from the Charlotte County Economic Development Office. Mr. Gammon provided a report on his department’s efforts to expand opportunities for area residents and business. The REC welcomed attendees from across the professional spectrum including bankers, developers, surveyors and others.
