On Saturday, November 2nd, members of the Broward Attorneys’ Real Estate Council (BAREC) participated in the Sallarulo 5k Race for Champions in support of Special Olympics Florida. The Sallarulo Race for Champions was founded on the belief that everyone deserves a chance and an opportunity to live a fulfilled life. This year’s event raised $157,229 for Special Olympics! Congratulations BAREC!
On November 7th the Bay Area Real Estate Council partnered with the West Pasco Board of Realtors® once again for an annual seminar entitled Understanding and Using the Residential Contract for Purchase and Sale. The program was presented by John “Jay” St. Lawrence, Fund Legal Education Attorney, and offered three CE credits to the more than 90 real estate agents in attendance.
The Jacksonville Area Real Estate Council hosted a presentation on November 14th entitled Powered by Pot, presented by Tara Tedrow, Co-Chair of the Cannabis and Controlled Substances Group, Lowdnes Drosdick Kanor & Reed, P.A. Regardless of your area of legal expertise or where you stand on legalized marijuana, the real estate industry is being impacted and Ms. Tedrow was able to provide JAREC members the valuable information to help them respond to issues when they arise in the future.
That same evening, the Volusia Real Estate Council encountered Caught in the Dark Web, a first-hand look into the “Hell on the Internet” presented by Ron Frechette, Founder & CEO, GoldSky Security, LLC and Christopher Dix, CPA, JD, Smith Hulsey & Busey.
On November 21st the Polk Area Real Estate Council welcomed the holiday season with a Holiday Craft Beer Social at Swan Brewing in downtown Lakeland.
The Capital Region Real Estate Council welcomed Manuel Farach of McGlinchey Stafford (Fort Lauderdale) to their November 22nd luncheon at Table 23 in Tallahassee where he presented his Real Property Case Law Update and It’s Impact on Your Practice.
The Central Florida Real Estate Attorneys’ Council (CFREAC) held their Annual Holiday Luncheon & Toy Drive on December 3rd at the historic Dubsdread Taproom. Linda Monaco, Fund Legal Education Attorney presented The Good, The Bad & The Ugly of P.A.C.E. Loans.
On December 6th the Attorneys’ Real Estate Council of Miami-Dade (AREC) held their annual Holiday Party. The festive event was hosted by AREC Treasurer Ana Maria Angulo at her beautiful home.

Members of the Jacksonville Area Real Estate Council partied the night away at their Annual Holiday Mixer on December 19th held at Strings Sports Brewery located in the historic Springfield neighborhood of Jacksonville. Members, family and friends enjoyed craft beer and karaoke!
