On September 18th the Polk Area Real Estate Council partnered with Lakeland Realtors® on an event entitled Drones and Real Estate: A Match Made in the Heavens at Aerospace Discovery at the Florida Air Museum in Lakeland.
On September 19th the Attorneys’ Real Estate Council of Palm Beach County presented its Annual Law Symposium at the Fountains Country Club to over 80 members of RAPB+GFLR, the third largest Realtor® Association in the United States. Topics included Landlord Tenant Law and Service Animals, Cyber Fraud Prevention and Probate.
The Volusia Real Estate Council participated in the Daytona Beach Area Association of Realtors’ Legal Forum with a program on FIRPTA & 1031 Exchanges. This two-hour program was presented by Linda Monaco, The Fund’s Legal Education Attorney and Janet Schaum, Vice President, Old Republic Exchange Company. It is accredited by the Florida Real Estate Commission so Realtors® earned two hours of specialty credit.
On October 15th the North Dade and Beaches REC welcomed The Fund’s Jacqueline Marzan, Associate Underwriting Manager, Commercial Services who presented Due Diligence in Commercial Transactions.
The Central Florida Real Estate Attorneys’ Council held a fun Halloween-themed event, Dirt & Death Attorneys: Trick, Treat & Trivia on October 22nd at Marlow’s Tavern in Orlando. CFREAC Members competed in teams to answer challenging questions on real estate and probate law. They also took the opportunity to collect donations for Bahamas Hurricane Relief. The Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar co-sponsored the event.
On October 26th the Bay Area Real Estate Council participated in the Clearwater Bar Foundation Legal Fair held at St. Petersburg College. BAREC member attorneys and others answered legal questions on real estate, bankruptcy and numerous other topics.
