With FinCEN’s Residential Real Estate Rule coming into effect December 1, 2025, settlement agents need to be prepared to collect information for the 100+ field form they will be required to file for covered transactions. ALTA has created a sophisticated set of collection forms to help, but agents will need to understand the forms themselves and also consider how to present the request for detailed information to the parties. Who do you ask for what, how, and when? This 1-hour, free program will examine what’s required to meet this challenge going forward. Attendees will be provided useful intake forms to assist in the data collection and will also be given a flyer for distribution to real estate agents explaining the nuts and bolts of the new rule in plain language.
