Speaker Information

Your biography, headshot and topic information will be used in Fund Assembly event promotions and materials. Send the completed template to your Fund Liaison.

Help attendees learn more about you and why you are considered an expert on your topic(s). Your bio will appear in printed and digital event materials.


Writing guidelines:

The length of most biographies range from 100 to 200 words.
When writing your biography, please use the Microsoft Word (.doc) template. 

Please include:

  • What do I do and where do I work now.
  • If it is relevant, what other positions have I held in the recent past.
  • Where did I go to college and law school (if only one or two schools).
  • Membership in Bar-related organizations, especially the RPPTL section and achieving Board Certification in Real Property.
  • What else have I done that is relevant to the topic I am speaking about? Honors I have received, books or articles I have published.

 

Don't include:

  • Personal statements or life philosophies.
  • Marriage or family information.
  • Long lists of publications, speaking engagements.
  • Dates of personal accomplishments unless they are truly relevant.

Peter M. Armold
Partner at the Law Firm of Gary Dytrych & Ryan, P.A.

Peter M. Armold is a partner at the Law Firm of Gary Dytrych & Ryan, P.A., in Palm Beach County, where he practices in the area of commercial litigation. Since 1998, Mr. Armold has acted as outside counsel to a number of title insurance companies, including The Fund and Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, handling title insurance claims on behalf of insureds and title insurers.

He earned his Bachelors of Arts Degree from Nova Southeastern University. Mr. Armold received his Juris Doctorate from the Florida State University College of law. He is AV rated as independently determined by Martindale-Hubbell.

 

Melissa Jay Murphy
Fund Sr. Vice President and General Counsel

Melissa Murphy is the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Attorneys’ Title Fund Services, LLC. Ms. Murphy obtained her B.S. degree from Florida State University and her J.D. degree from the University of Florida.

Prior to joining The Fund, she was in private practice in Gainesville for over 30 years, with a focus on real property transactional law. Ms. Murphy was a Fund agent and her firm has been in The Fund Top 25 several years. She also served as the Trustee from the 8th Judicial Circuit to Attorneys’ Title Insurance Fund, Inc. for 14 years prior to becoming General Counsel of The Fund. Ms. Murphy was an adjunct professor at the University of Florida for many years prior to moving to Orlando, teaching real property law at the law school and in the Masters of Science in Real Estate program in the business school. She serves on the Executive Council of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar and was Chair of the Section in 2005-2006.
