Representative George Moraitis is a partner with the Fort Lauderdale law firm of Moraitis, Cofar, Karney, & Moraitis, where he practices primarily in the areas of real estate, probate, and estate planning.

Rep. Moraitis was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale and is a graduate of Fort Lauderdale High School and the United States Naval Academy. After serving seven years on active duty as a submarine officer in the United States Navy during which he qualified as a Navy Nuclear Propulsion Engineer, George attended the University of Florida College of Law and then followed his father, George, Sr., into the practice of law.

In November 2010, Rep. Moraitis was elected as a State Representative. He currently represents District 93 that includes most of northeast Broward County. Rep. Moraitis serves on the Joint Administrative Procedures Committee (Alternating Chairman), Appropriations Committee (Vice Chair), Civil Justice & Claims Subcommittee, and Judiciary Committee.

Greg Black

Greg Black is an attorney with Metz, Husband & Daughton, P.A., and practices in the legislative affairs, administrative rulemaking, and state procurement areas of the firm. Mr. Black previously represented the Florida Bankers Association (FBA) and advocated on behalf of financial institutions of all sizes. In his role with FBA, he primarily focused on issues concerning financial services, insurance, and business entities.

Mr. Black serves as a Director for the Florida State University College of Law Alumni Board, and was recently appointed as Chair of the Development Committee, in addition to his participation in numerous civic and community activities. He is a member of the Seminole Torchbearer’s and is an avid Seminole fan.

Mr. Black graduated from the Florida State University College of Law. While in law school, he co-founded the Volunteer Student Law Project which provides pro bono legal services through a partnership with the Legal Aid Foundation of the Tallahassee Bar Association.

Mr. Black earned his B.S. in Criminology, with a minor in Business, from the Florida State University. He was admitted as a member of the Florida Bar in 2010.
