This course examines the American Land Title Association’s (ALTA) Best Practices Pillar 3: Privacy and Information Security. It focuses on protecting a customer’s Non-public Personal Information (NPI), intrusion detection and protection, privacy policies and procedures, preventing wire fraud, use of passwords and encrypted email, business continuity management, disaster recovery planning, and record protection and disposal.
