Description:
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has adopted a variety of forms to assist in its enforcement of the United States Tax Code. Among them is Form 1099-S, Proceeds From Real Estate Transactions, used to report the sale or exchange of real estate. The responsibility for filing this information return lies with the closing agent. This course will review the requirements, technicalities and nuances of this form.
