Kara will be speaking about changes and amendments to the FAR/BAR contract. She will provide highlights into recent revisions, their impact on real estate transactions, and best practices for compliance. This discussion will be valuable for real estate professionals, attorneys, and anyone involved in property transactions in Florida.

Kara Scott is a native of Rhode Island and earned her law degree from New England Law in Boston, MA in 1995. She has been a member of the Rhode Island Bar since 1995 and became a member of the Florida Bar and Connecticut Bar in 2006. Ms. Scott was a partner of a prestigious real estate firm in Rhode Island prior to relocating to Florida in 2019 where she practiced with a real estate firm in Sarasota. Prior to joining The Fund’s Legal Education Department in 2023, Ms. Scott’s practice focused on residential and commercial real estate transactions, business law, land use and estate administration. Ms. Scott is a member of the Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section and the Sarasota County Bar Association.
