New Form & New Rules
Hello Members!
Quick turnaround for this week's blog. Why?
Oops. I goofed. Earlier this week, I reminded all about the new flood disclosure required effective October 1. I indicated that the FRBAR committee did not "yet" have a form for this disclosure, so I suggested you create your own. It was quite gratifying to see responses to my blog popping up in my inbox. Wow! People are reading my blogs! Then I realized that I had goofed up, and Florida Realtors DOES have a Flood Disclosure Form. Sorry. Here's the form. https://www.thefund.com/TheFund/media/PDFs/GeneralCounsel/1024-Flood-Disclosure.pdf P.S. This is NOT part of the FRBAR contract but is a separate disclosure form issued by Florida Realtors.
Now, moving on to some serious stuff.
CLE on new Rules of Civil Procedure. If you do any litigation at all, you need to get up to speed on the changes to the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure. Available on demand is the RPPTL’s comprehensive CLE program on the “new” Rules. This program addresses all of the changes to the Rules of Civil Procedure, taking a deep dive into each of the new Rules and summarizing them in a way that is easy to understand. Learn about commencing the case and the case tracks, case management requirements, new obligations on motion practice and hearings, the “federalization” of discovery in Florida, an easy-to-understand primer on proportional discovery, new summary judgment and trial requirements, and your ethical obligations under the “new” Rule. Each of the speakers has been involved with the “new” Rules since the Florida Supreme Court first unveiled its initial draft back in 2022. There is no other program available on the “new” Rules that is as comprehensive and presented by people who have lived the “new” Rules for the past three years. You can download the seminar any time through the end of the year at the following link: https://tfb.inreachce.com/Details/Information/9942e480-555f-4bb4-9026-3175b782576b
That's all for this week. Will try to do better.
